Like most little girls you probably read the story of Cinderella. Think of everything she had to overcome. Step sisters and a step mother who didn’t like her. Scrubbing floors etc. We all know this story had a happy ending. So what does that have to do with a carriage or wedding photography? Let me ask you this? How did Cinderella get to the ball? Ahhh now you see it. She arrived in a carriage! Now of course this wasn’t a wedding but it was still a grand event.
Today you COULD arrive in a carriage pulled by horses. Yes there are actually places that do that! However most today take the route of hiring a limo service.

Wedding Limos
The limo and driver now become your modern day carriage!
There are several things you want to take into consideration when hiring a limo service. The most obvious is are they even available for your date. Saturdays and Sundays are the most popular times for weddings.
So tip #1 Reserve Early!
Next think about what you will look like in the car. The type of car you arrive in reflects the style of your wedding.

That being said tip#3 View your limo BEFORE your event. You want to see for yourself just how large the interior is. What amenities does the limo have?
Next how do you envision yourself looking getting out of the car?

Tip #4 is VERY important as well. Ask if your limo is exclusively for you? Are they going to want to run off to another wedding? So ask if your limo is double booked for the day. You don't want them arriving late for your wedding! Be sure to check this especially if they have to leave for another wedding and yours runs over time there may be hidden costs you incur. Planning ahead is ALWAYS advisable. You also want to make sure that your limo driver will take you to whatever destinations you want. Perhaps your wedding is being held at one location and you want wedding photographs on the beach.

Tip #5 Although we are putting this at number 5 it by no means is not as important as #1. Make sure the company has public liability insurance. People who do this for a hobby may not be operating their business properly.
Tip 6 Ask how the company prepares for you wedding? Do they brief the chauffeurs as to exactly where to pick you up and where your venue is? This may seem like a no brainer but one wedding we photographed the driver had no clue how to get out of the housing development. The chauffeur had to take directions from the bride! Do they make sure the car is in top condition?
Following these tips will enable you to arrive at your final destination which may be your reception happy excited and relaxed.
